A diet rich in raw fibre and structure is very important for digestion for horses. Roughage products provide the fibre and structure horses need. They also offer long enough feeding so that the horses chew as much as they should. A deficiency of fibre can lead to issues with the intestinal flora, colic, diarrhoea, emaciation etc.

With the Pre Alpin meadow flakes, Agrobs has created a high-quality, easy-to-feed roughage product. The practical flakes are ideal as a hay substitute and also stimulate saliva production.

Soaked in water, the meadow flakes are also suitable for senior horses and horses with problems chewing or dental problems.

Feeding recommendation:

• As a basic feed substitute: 1.2 to 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight daily
• Adjust the amount of basic feed to upgrade the basic feed: 1 kg Meadow Flakes replaces 1 kg hay.
• Feed slowly or soak 1 kg of PRE ALPIN Meadow Flakes in 2 lites of water.
• As a concentrate substitute: 1.2 kg PRE ALPIN Meadow Flakes replaces approx. 1 kg grain
• Soak before feeding to older horses
• For hasty eaters, the product can be mixed Pre Alpin Aspero, Lucerne + or straw.
• For hasty eaters, old horses or horses with dental problems, moistening or soaking the food is generally recommended.
