Description
These high-quality raw fibres are processed into flakes using a patented manufacturing process, making SpeediBeet an excellent substitute for roughage. Rich in dietary fibres, primarily pectin, the beet pulp used for this product is particularly easy to digest and slowly releases its energy. The sugar has been removed from the beet pulp.
Features:
- De-sugared beet pulp with a short soaking time
- Very low sugar content
- High-quality crude fibre with a prebiotic effect
- Supports normal intestinal function
Areas of use:
- For laminitis and EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome)
- For horses in poor health
- For senior horses with poor teeth, partly as a roughage substitute
- For sport horses that benefit from slowly released energy
- To supply moisture during digestion
- For difficult and fussy eaters
Feeding recommendation:
(As a fixed component of the daily feed ration)
- 30-50 g per 100 kg body weight (as a partial replacement of roughage for seniors)
- 400 g per 100 kg body weight (if you feed Pavo SpeediBeet as a (partial) replacement for roughage, you can increase the daily feed ration to a maximum of 400 g per 100 kg body weight)
This information refers to SpeediBeet in its dry condition. Always adjust the feed to the actual energy consumption of your horse.
Important:
- Pavo SpeediBeet must never be fed dry. Keep the beet pulp in a well-sealed container so that free-roaming horses cannot eat it.
Preparation:
- Soak 1 part Pavo SpeediBeet with 3 parts water for 10 minutes in (lukewarm) water or for 20 minutes in cold water. Pavo SpeediBeet may only be fed after being soaked in water.
- Please note that the daily amount should not be exceeded.
Tips:
- Due to the low sugar content, horses often have to get used to the taste of the feed. If this is the case, mix the SpeediBeet with your normal concentrate for the first few days or add Slobber Mash, for example. After a few days, you can reduce this additional step if desired.
- There are no vitamins or minerals in the SpeediBeet. If you feed your horse only SpeediBeet and roughage, you can add a mineral feed. For example, try the Pavo Vital mineral feed.
