Starhorse® Iso Mineral Plus is an electrolyte preparation that was developed in horses exclusively after sweat analysis (see explanation below). For the first time, this method guarantees correct and scientifically verifiable coverage of all electrolyte losses caused by sweating. A deficiency symptom is hardly possible with this method if the feeding description is followed.

What is a sweat analysis?
In a so-called sweat analysis, the horse's sweat is broken down into all its components and their proportions are determined. This is the only way to determine exactly which substances are excreted by the horse through sweat and at which stress level. This has the great advantage that precise data on the loss of minerals and trace elements are available, and an optimal composition of the electrolyte preparation is possible.

What are electrolytes?
Minerals and trace elements, widely known as electrolytes, belong to the inorganic matter, as they are almost all metals that the horse's organism cannot produce. This means that essential substances must be taken in with food, but are excreted by the body through sweating. These electrolytes must be replaced in their entire spectrum as quickly as possible, provided there is no decrease in performance or cramps. The best way to do this is by taking special electrolyte preparations which are made exclusively from horses' sweat analysis. STARHORSE® Iso Mineral Plus meets this high requirement 100%.

When should electrolytes be fed?
Electrolytes are always used when the horse's body loses a lot of fluid and there is a risk of undersupply or this deficit has already arisen. This circumstance mostly occurs during heavy physical exertion, in hot weather or illnesses (e.g. diarrhea).

What happens in the event of an undersupply?
The horse's organism can be severely weakened by the lack of a single mineral substance. This deficit results in symptoms of fatigue, severe drop in performance, circulatory problems, exhaustion and loss of appetite. Furthermore, lactic acid builds up in the muscles and there is a strong tendency to cramps.

With high quality electrolytes the ratio of calcium to phosphorus should be approx. 5: 1. In this ratio, the organism can optimally develop the effectiveness of the electrolytes in the horse's body.

• Horses under high stress (training, competition) (3 times a day): 15g
