Happy Horse Gastro Gold Linseed, 5 kg

Gastro Gold Linseed by Happy Horse contains pure golden yellow cracked linseed. Cracked linseed can support normal gastrointestinal function and a silky, shiny coat. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and high-quality mucilage and is suitable for horses of all ages.

Good to know:
If linseed is given in order to support normal gastrointestinal function, it can be given directly without being cooked or soaked first. Linseed softens during the digestive process so that its nutrients are available in the small intestine.

Feeding recommendation:
Add around 10 to 20 g per 100 kg body weight per day to the concentrated feed. If necessary, double the amount can be given temporarily.

Methods of preparation:
To support the gastric mucosa:
Pour hot water (ca. 80 °C) over the linseed and let it soak for 25 minutes.
The formation of mucus is immediately visible.

To support the gastrointestinal function:
Mix dry linseed into the concentrated feed. The linseed swells during digestion and forms mucilage in the intestines.
